Adding a Page
Determine where your new page will “live” in relation to your existing site structure. For instance, will it be nestled under “Academics”, “Student Experience”, etc?
Navigate to the correct folder where your new page will live. For example, if you are creating a page that will live in “Student Experience” click on that folder.
Click on the green button at the top of the page that says “New”. Then click “New Interior Page”.
Give your page a concise page title and description. Note: The description will be displayed on search engines – so keep it short!
Give your new page a file name. Always use lowercase letters with dashes in between each word.
Click the blue “create” button at the bottom of the window.
Once you are done editing your new page, you need to add the page to your menu. Click on the blue link near the top of the page that says your department name.
Next, click the file called “_menu”.
Click the green button that says “Main Content”.
Editing your menu is like editing a bulleted list. Each item on the list is hyperlinked to the corresponding page. Make sure you add a link to each bulleted item on the list.
Add your new page to the bulleted list.
Click the LINK button (that looks like two chains) to select the page you’d like to link to.
Publish your menu using the large green button that says “Publish”.
